AUGUST, 2004
As many of you may have already heard Howard Montague passed away on July 3rd, 2004. Howard was the past president of American Clay Works & Supply Company. American Clay was shut down from 1942 to 1945, due the 2nd World War. In 1945 Howard and Horace Montague fired up the old clay works once again. Howard retired from the American Clay Works in 1983. He continued a very active retirement in several social and professional organizations. Howard remains one of the most respected individuals we have ever known. He will truly be missed by all at American Clay, his family and his friends.
