June 2005
Mark your calendars, August 12th, 2005, for The American Clay Works Open House, to be held here at our warehouse. We are going to have 15 different vendors on site; T.O. Plastics, ITML Plastics, Nursery Supplies, Western Pulp, AT Plastics, Green-Tek, Wadsworth Controls, Nexus Greenhouse, Scotts Company, Modine Heaters, Conrad Fafard Company, PAK Unlimited, Netafim Irrigation, Valent Chemicals and Becker Underwood. Some of the vendors and American Clay are offering extra discounts and extended payment terms on some products. These vendors represent some of best value products available in our market. Questions about products ranging from containers to coverings, and soil media to greenhouse equipment can be answered at this show. Last year we introduced the new regulations governing weights and measures on containers. This year, the executive director of NAHSA, Talbot Gee will be on hand to give an update on these regulations. We are intending to set up an actual display of what will be required. Two scenarios will be covered; one: if you grow your own plants and sell them and two: if you bring plants in from a wholesale grower. We will show what responsibilities you as a retailer or grower to this new set of laws. American Clay will be offering lunch and refreshments. Please R.S.V.P. by August 9th, 2005.
It is early order time. Now is the time to book your over-winter white polyfilm and poinsettia containers. American Clay has the 2005 early order programs available. Booking early will save you money. Both of these programs expire at the end of June. Keep in mind, American Clay still has some items on close out. Most of these items are discontinued by the manufacturers or are just out dated and may be of value to you.
If you have an internet connection please be aware that our 2004-2005 Catalog and current Price Page Listing is available at www.americanclayworks.net. The catalog is in PDF format and requires Adobe Acrobat or another PDF reader to view, while the price pages are viewable with any browser.
