The American Clay open house is this month on Friday, August 12, at the American Clay warehouse located at 857 Bryant Street.  We will start at about 10 am and go until 3pm.  We are going to have 16 vendors exhibiting products and have an update on the new container laws that take effect Jan 2006.   For lunch we are serving Phillie cheese steak, hamburgers, hot dogs, 4 different salads and refreshments.  Vendors will include T.O. Plastics, ITML Plastics, Western Pulp, Nursery Supply, Netafim Irrigation, Soleno Industries (Aqua-mat), Wadsworth Controls, Nexus Greenhouse, Green-Tek, AT Plastics, Fafard Soils, Modine Heaters, Valent Chemical, Becker Underwood , The Scotts Company and Pak Unlimited. This list of vendors represents the best the horticultural market has to offer. If you have any questions concerning containers, coverings, equipment, fabrics, fertilizers or pesticides, this is the time to ask. Talbot Gee, the Executive Director from The North American Horticultural Suppliers Association ( NAHSA) will be here to present an update on the new container laws.  Be sure to attend if you are a retailer or grower who sells to retailers.  We should be able to answer most of your questions concerning these new laws.  During lunch we will have prize drawings for some excellent gifts.  We look forward to seeing you August 12th.

Hot weather is here.  It’s shade cloth time!  American Clay has a large inventory of bulk rolls of both woven and knitted shade in various shade percentages.  We also have Visor shade paint available in 2.5 gallon containers.  If you require a custom shade cloth with taped edges and grommets it will take about 3 weeks to get these products from our manufacturer.  For more information please call American Clay.
