We had our annual open house August 12th here at American Clay.  The highlight was the update presentation on the container laws for the upcoming season.  Talbot Gee, executive director of the North American Horticulture Suppliers Association, gave a one hour presentation on all the requirements necessary to comply with these new regulations. Container volumes are available by most manufactures on the internet.  We recommend you download this information directly from the manufacturer’s web site.  If you have problems getting any information please contact us and we will be more than happy to answer your questions. If you would like a copy of the regulations, they are available on several web site=s to include coloradonga.org, nahsa.org and anla.org.  We have copies here.  If you need one, we would be happy to send one out with any order.
 
Natural Gas prices are continuing upward.  One way to lower them is to do annual maintenance on all your overhead heaters.  Modine has a guideline for you to follow; this allows you to get maximum performance out of your heaters.  General cleaning, knowing how to identify a bad gas valve or a faulty heat exchanger, etc., could save you $$$.  For more information on heater maintenance please call American Clay.
 
Fall is the time to purchase overwinter cloth (thermal blankets).  We handle a variety of weights, most common being 2oz/sq yd. This blanket is available in 15' x 300' and is available now. Heavier weights are also available.  Most of our blankets are treated with UV protection for use year after year.  The blankets are water permeable and provide frost protection.
