During October, we had a significant number of calls about the weights and measures regulations, in effect now. Remember, this law applies to all containers, with or without a plant. An empty clay pot does need the appropriate measures on the container. Again, if you have any questions, please call American Clay. We can help.
 
Len Strock, long time salesman with American Clay, will be leaving our company as of December 1, 2005. We are really going to miss Len. He has been here for 32 years. We all wish he and his family the best in the future.
 
On the lighter side, Bob Riney, who still works as a consultant for American Clay, had his 70th birthday October, 26, 2005. His hair is grayer than ever, he says the fire is still in the boiler. Happy Birthday Bob.
 
Last month we mentioned frost protection fabric, we carry a 2 oz/sq yd and a 6 oz/sq yd material. Both are reusable, water permeable, UV resistant and in inventory.  These fabrics are a great way to protect your plants over the winter months.
 
ITML has announced a new hanging basket series called Decostone. It is available in two sizes and four colors. The 12 Decostone baskets are 2.17gl/8.22l and the 14 Decostone baskets are 3.4gl/12.88l basket. The colors are green, clay, sandstone and toupe. Either a plastic snap hanger or wire hanger can be used, with both sizes. Call American Clay for more information.
