August 10th, 2006 American Clay will be having its annual Open House. This year we will have a session on national industry trends. A container manufacturer, soilless media producer and a greenhouse structure representative will be presenting, “The direction our industry is heading.”  We think this will be a very informative session.  Those people presenting have good insight on the national and regional scene.  In addition to our session we will be serving lunch, providing refreshments and have prize drawings throughout the day.  Other vendors will be present to show the latest in containers, water mats, greenhouses, coverings and much more.  So, plan to attend Thursday, August 10, 2006 at the American Clay warehouse 857 Bryant St. Denver, Co 80204.
 
Bio Works has introduced a new insecticide/fungicide called Tricon.  Tricon covers powdery mildew, downy mildew and controls aphids, mealy bug, mites, scale and whitefly.  It is labeled for use outdoor, Nursery and Greenhouse crops.  It carries a 12 hr REI, but has a very pleasant odor.  Tricon is laced with and orange peel extract and would be great for use in retail locations.  Tricon is a contact pesticide and can be applied to a wide variety of plants except edibles and roses.  Call American Clay for more information.
 
American Clay now carries roll top metal edging in 14ga, 16ga and 18ga weight.  All weights are 10’ in length by 4” in height.  The metal roll top is securely fastened to the edging, reducing the possibility of injury by being cut on a sharp metal edge.  Three gauges allow three different price points and three levels of strength.  American Clay also stocks Ace of Diamond black plastic lawn edging.  This product comes in 20’ lengths and includes a stake kit for every piece.  Call American Clay for more information.
