Now is the time to place your orders for containers that will require weights and measures. The addition of the label adds time to the production process, (approximately 2-4 weeks). Do not wait to long if you want your containers in time for planting. All containers require a label stating container volume and declaration of responsibility. Inserts like 606 1206 do not require a label in Colorado, they do require signage, relating to the insert size and configuration.
 
There is still time to get over wintering white polyfilm orders in for shipment. The cut off date is September 15, 2006. White over winter film is available in 3mil, 5mil and 6mil thickness, with the latter being a 4 yr film. September is the month to order any frost blanket 2 oz or 6 oz material. Frost guard comes in 15’ width x 300’ length.
 
American Clay has signed up to distribute two new lines of decorative containers. Both lines are made from composite plastic, fiberglass and plastic. Many of these containers have the remarkable appearance of clay or concrete, without the weight or the breakage. NJ Supply is a line of plastic deck and rail planters that are self watering and a unique shape. The line is also stackable with its companion 15” self watering planter. It is available in four colors. The second line of containers is from Rush Creek. This line includes plastic, composite and fiberglass containers in many sizes and colors. Some of these containers look exactly like clay or concrete containers. They are durable and affordable. American Clay will have an early order program on both lines this month.
