February 2008
The 2008 Pro Green Expo trade show held at the Denver Convention center Jan 23 through Jan 25 was a huge success. The theme of “sustainability” was definitely a question from everyone who entered our booth. The new Coir pots from ITML received a lot of attention. These pots are available in 4” and 6” aza sizes. The 4” std is available in cases of 1680 and the 6” aza has a case count of 500. The Coir pot is a plant able container and definitely sustainable. Please call for pricing. Other products of interest are the new Rush Creek line of decorative containers. This line is a rotationally molded plastic that are very strong and available in a number of shapes, sizes and colors. Rush Creek is ideal for patios, around swimming pools, decks and attractive enough for inside use. The rotational plastic is very strong and resistant to ultra-violet degradation. Please call for pricing. Other items of interest are the side roll up system, American Clay offers. This fit well with some sustainability in that electricity is not required for cooling and ventilation. This is an engineered system and each quote has to be designed separately. Give us a call and we can give you a quote. The Nexus temporary greenhouse structures are always a hot item, available in 15’, 20’ 22’ 26’ and 30’ widths, these structures are ideal for cold frames and holding houses for a variety of plants. The 30’ Columbine can be used a year round growing structure with fans, heaters and cooling. Again, an engineered structure, so call us for a quote.
We are looking for fertilizer prices to increase significantly, through out 2008. This is due to several factors, one is the price of oil and secondly the world wide demand for N-P-K. I am told nitrate is already in short supply. We are well stocked with both water soluble and CRF controlled release fertilizer, you may want to stock up early.
